To everyone who came on the sponsored dog walk on Sunday; to everyone who sponsored the dogs who were walking; and everyone who donated- VERY MANY THANKS. Over £1.400 was raised which is absolutely brilliant. It was a great day which everyone as well as the dogs enjoyed.
It was wonderful to see so many of ‘our’ ex dogs there all looking so happy with their owners.
The Cheadle & District Animal Welfare Society dogs- Kobi, Mikey, Brad, Benny, Ebony, Rio and Tyson were brilliantly behaved and had a great day out. They couldn’t have shown themselves off any better. Well done gang.. and many thanks to their walkers!

Annual Sponsored Dog walk
- Main Booking in time between 10.30 – 11am (although we will be at gazebo until around 1.30pm so booking-in can be later)
- £5 entry fee per dog (Pay for 1 dog- additional donation optional if you bring more than 1 dog).
- Pay Pal, My Donate or JustTextGiving can also be used to sponsor any of the C.A.W. dogs that may be walking (see donate page for info).
Our gazebo and walk pay point will be situated outside of The Ramblers Retreat, Dimmings Dale. Very flexible- its not a mass walk. You can walk individually or in your own small groups. Its the chance to walk around the Ponds and/or forest at Dimmingsdale and/or the Old Churnet Railway track and help to raise money for us too!
Walk options include:
1.8 miles approx from the Ramblers Retreat around the Ponds at Dimmingsdale;
2.4 miles approx from Oakamoor Picnic site along the Old Churnet Railway Track to the Ramblers Retreat and back;
4.2 miles approx from Oakamoor Picnic site along the Old Churnet Railway Track to the Ramblers Retreat, around the Ponds and back.
