Cheadle Animal Welfare is so grateful to all the Co-op members who have chosen us as their charity when they shop at the Co-Op and buy Co-Op branded products. With your help the
Co-Op have forwarded £191.89 for us to use to help provide accommodation and veterinary fees for our Waifs and Strays. This is in addition to previous donations received from the Co-Op Local Community Fund.
Funding received so far has helped tabby cat Molly get laser treatment for her asthma and arthritis and she is doing really well, while tabby and white cat Kiki received laser treatment for her gingivitis, black and white cat Felix had a dental, Chihuahua, Eric, received tests and medication for his heart problem and lots of other cats had vaccinations, microchips, wormers and flea treatments.
Many of the cats have found homes where they are now very happy and have provided companionship and a great deal of pleasure to their new owners. One cat in particular has given an older lady a new lease of life. She is no longer alone, she has someone to care for again and she has a smile on her face.
If you are a member of the Co-op please consider nominating Cheadle Animal Welfare Society as your charity of choice each time you shop and our Waifs and Strays will receive a proportion of what you spend without any charge to yourself.
