Annual Sponsored Dog Walk Sunday 7th June- CANCELLED-

cancelled

Our annual sponsored dog walk around the Dimmingsdale area on Sunday June 7th is sadly cancelled. Probably not a big surprise to you!

It is always a lovely, friendly event which usually generates around £1,200 thanks to the entry fees, donations and sponsorship money that you give and also gain from family and friends. This helps us to continue to care for all the lovely animals in our care.

Clearly this event cancellation affects our income considerably. We still have considerable regular expenditure to address as well as lately too many unexpected medical emergencies.

If anyone would like to do some sort of activity on your own that day or around that time that is safe to do so, in a safe area and within all the government guidelines current at the time you might be able to ask friends and family to sponsor that, which you might then consider donating to us? If so, we would greatly appreciate it!

We do have a Give as You Live donate page https://donate.giveasyoulive.com/fundraising/difficult-times
which can be used to send donations or any of the methods on our Donate page on this website www.cheadleanimalwelfare.org.uk.

We know that everyone is badly affected by the current situation and donating may not be an option at present but please do continue to think of us and support us in any way you can in hopefully the not too distant future.

For example the dogs would really appreciate treats such as dentastix, schmackos or similar meat stick treats, twisters, bacon sizzlers etc. These can be left in any of our collection bins in Morrison’s Supermarket, Cheadle, Pets at Home, Uttoxeter or Cross Street Pet Shop, Cheadle.
Cat food is also be very welcome and can also be left at any of those places.

A small group of us are hoping to take part in a September sponsored walk that Clive organises for the C.A.W team. If all goes well and we will still be allowed to do that within guidelines at that time maybe you might be able to sponsor us then to help us raise much needed funds. We will let you know about that nearer to.

Stay safe and thank you for being such good friends to our lovely waifs and strays.
