Mabel

Very sadly we had to say goodbye to our Staffy Mabel on Saturday the 15th May, 2021.

Mabel had been with us for a very long time and had many kind friends and followers. We think she must have been at least 13yrs old. She had been unwell a few weeks ago and so many of you sent good wishes, food and treats for her. She was always a very strong little girl and once again she rallied around and started to enjoy her very regular walks and outings once more.

On the Tuesday before she had a really good walk and then happily played and ran around her best friend’s garden as she had been used to doing and of course enjoyed her bacon and chicken! However, on the Friday even though she had a short walk in the morning she only pottered a little in the garden and didn’t want her favourite treats. She still pottered in the orchard at the kennels in the afternoon but overnight her health deteriorated and very sadly on the Saturday we had to say a final goodbye. She had friends around her and her best friend was with her all the way as she peacefully went to sleep tucked up in her bed with all her toys. She will be missed so very much but always remembered and will stay in the hearts of many of us.
