**** Sponsored Walk 16th September ***
On Saturday 16th September 2023 a small group of dedicated supporters are donning their walking boots and putting their best foot forward to do a Sponsored Walk from Parwich, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The full distance is 13 miles, with the less intrepid walking a distance of 5 miles. The age range of the participants is varied, with the youngest being 12 years of age and the oldest 81 years of age and there will hopefully be a few dogs taking part as well.
The money raised from this Sponsored Walk will be used to help pay for Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meals and/or Veterinary Care for the older dogs and cats in our care including Eric, a Chihuahua, tabby cat Diana, black and white cat Tessa and ginger cat Gilbert. Eric is a very grumpy dog, but greatly loved by the foster family who care for him, he is about 15 years old, has a heart condition and is also arthritic. Diana is a grumpy tabby and is 8 or 9 years old, Tessa is 13 years old and has kidney problems and Gilbert only has 3 legs, he’s about 10 years old. Diana, Tessa and Gilbert are still waiting to find their forever homes.
These older boys and girls are greatly loved, but need just that bit of extra care and we are doing our very best to help them and others like them. Just because they are older doesn’t mean that they should be forgotten. We hope you agree and that you will sponsor the walkers to contribute to the care of Eric, Diana, Tessa and Gilbert.

The draw for the Annual Raffle will be held at Cheadle Market. We will have a stall on Saturday morning with bric a brac and other goodies on sale. The Raffle draw will be held around 11am.

General Knowledge Quiz (** Sold out!**)
Friday 3rd November 7pm. Greatwood Hall, Tean
Our next Quiz is being held at Greatwood Hall, Hollington Road, Tean starting at 7pm. The cost is £12 per person which will include a raffle ticket and a Fish and Chip supper (veggie option available). Bring your own drinks and glasses. You can have a team of up to 5 people. There will be a prize for each member of the winning team and also a much smaller prize for each member of the losing team. The quiz nights are always good fun

Annual Grand Prize Raffle tickets
Raffle tickets are now available for the draw which will take place on 23rd September 2023. If you are able to sell some tickets for us, we would be very grateful.
Tickets are 50p each, £2 per book.
Prizes include £50 cash, £25 Morrisons voucher, Hamper, Bottle of Southern Comfort. Bottle of Lambs Navy Rum plus other prizes and vouchers.

Reservoir, Nr Leek. Family Fun Day 11am – 3pm
This year marks 60 years since they increased the height of the dam…..as a celebration for the community there will be loads of free activities including circus skills, their education team, bouncy castles and lots of opportunities to try your hand at new things! We will also be there with our stalls and games. Free entry but car parking charges apply.

Hollington Fete
We will be there with a few of our stalls and games. Do come along and enjoy the event with us. Its always a lovely event.
