Sponsored Walk this Saturday, 14th September. Will you help by sponsoring the walkers please?

On Saturday 14th September 2024 a small group of dedicated supporters are donning their walking boots and putting their best foot forward to do a Sponsored Walk from Parwich, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The full distance is 13 miles, with the less intrepid walking a distance of 5 miles. The age range of the participants is varied, with the youngest being 13 years of age and the oldest 82 years of age and there will hopefully be a few dogs taking part as well.

 The money raised from this Sponsored Walk will be used to help pay for the care of older long term foster dogs and cats including Tyler a lovely Terrier dog who is 15 years old. He is now in a wonderful foster home and enjoying his life but sadly he has arthritis and kidney disease. We are doing everything to help him have a happy, pain free life for as long as possible. Milo is a brown tabby who came into care when his owner passed away. We are not sure how old he is, but he looks and acts like an old man. He is very arthritic so needs medication to ease his pain. Maisie is a lovely grey and white cat who is 16 years old and enjoys life in her own way. She just gets on with her life without bothering anyone.
