Stevie was Hope

Hope came to us as a small kitten in November 2025, having been found abandoned in a box which was inside a carrier bag which in turn was tied with a cable tie, so there was no means of escape. Fortunately she was found by a dog walker and taken to Lime Trees Cat Clinic in Cheadle.

That was the day her life turned around. She was adopted in January 2026 and here’s the latest update:

She has well and truly settled in, the dogs have accepted her, she even shares their bed sometimes in the afternoon sun.

My sons adore her and have got her biggest cat tree, she only sits on one shelf and uses the scratch posts, she doesn’t like to be enclosed, so has never used the cocoon bed we originally bought for her. I do wonder if that has something to do with how she was found. She is very nosey too!
She is only a small cat, about 2.5kg at the moment but has a big personality!
She chases bees, flies, butterflies and enjoys watching the fish.
Everything is on Stevie’s terms, she comes for a fuss in the evenings and follows you around the house, she isn’t needy at all but during the day she is too busy sleeping or chasing something or enjoying sitting in the water bowl and wandering around with wet paws. I’ve never known a cat who loves water play.

She enjoys visiting the neighbours next door, they also adore her but she won’t venture further afield which is nice but I do wonder where she has her dust baths!
