Photos from the Fun Dog Show

dog show fun

We were so lucky to have a dry day after the rain the day before. Many of us did all look as if we had been in mud baths mind you…..but no-one seemed to mind! It was a great afternoon. Very many thanks to everyone who organised it, judged it, took part and who came along to watch and support us – you made it a great event.

Here are a few photos. It was wonderful to see so many of our ex dogs- all looking wonderful and very happy. Great to see our famous Gordon looking amazing! Tommy who is still looking for a home entered quite a few classes, proudly wearing his yellow bandana and was such a brilliant, patient boy. He didn’t win a class but won quite a few hearts. He is so deserving of a lovely home. Brad came along too. He didn’t enter anything as too many dogs around him close is a bit much for Brad but he did brilliantly to come along to watch.

Cheadle Animal Welfare Society and Rottweiler Welfare Association are jointly holding a fun dog show on Sunday the 1st October. It’s at The Pavilion, Church Bank, Oakamoor which is the old cricket ground situated on the top just before you climb down the winding bank into Oakamoor.

There will be a range of classes- all ‘fun’ such as most handsome dog/bitch, best rescue, golden oldie, waggiest tail, etc. A range of stalls and games will also be on site. Cafe on site too.

Registration for the classes starts at 11am. £1 entry each class

Classes will start at 12.00.

We expect the show to go on to about 4pm at latest.

We do hope you’ll be able to join us and that many of the lovely dogs who were in our care and now in great homes will come along.

All dogs must be on a lead at all times please.
