We were really lucky to have lovely weather for our sponsored dog walk in Dimmings Dale. The support was as usual brilliant and very many thanks go to everyone who came along and took part and to everyone who sponsored the dogs. It was especially nice to see so many ex Cheadle Animal Welfare (C.A.W.) dogs walking and looking so happy with their new owners. Zack (formerly Zeus) had a great time meeting up with his two favourite C.A.W walkers again and to see Rosie (our 2017 yr calendar cover girl) looking so fit and well after being so poorly when she first came to us was really nice. All dogs were so well mannered and we were so delighted at how Molly, Leo, Tommy, Zara, Roger, Brad and Bonnie behaved as they walked round. They are currently looking for and truly deserve really loving homes.They were admired and fussed over by so many people and had such a good time- they were great ambassadors who couldn’t have represented us any better if they tried. We are so proud of them. Their details can be found on the rehoming pages of the website.
Already around £800 has been raised which is a brilliant result for a few hours of activity which humans and dogs alike had a really great time participating in. Additional sponsorship money is due to come in over the next couple of weeks so the overall amount raised will be amazing….Around £1,100 as at end of May- thanks very much to everyone.

Sponsored Dog Walk around Dimmings Dale. To raise money for the animals currently in the care of Cheadle & District Animal Welfare Society.
Walk options of varying lengths and routes. Very flexible- not all charging off together!
Booking in times (we will be situated outside The Rambers Retreat) between 10.30 am and 11am. We will still be there if you arrive a little later!
There is a standard £5 entry fee per dog. (If you are bringing more than one dog just pay for one, although we won’t say no to any additional donation you may wish to give for your others!).
In addition, if you can get sponsorship for your dog too that would be very welcome.

You can sponsor them at E + E Furniture Stores, Cheadle and at Lime Trees Veterinary Surgery, Cheadle, via paypal (please add a note in the comments space that it’s for the Sponsored walk) or on the day!
The C.A.W. dogs who should be walking if you would like to see them out and about will be Maddie, Tommy, Lilo, Roger, Clyde, Bonnie, Leo and Levi.
