Support Adoption for Pets and the Team at Uttoxeter Pets at Home started their Summer Fundraising/Save our Rescue Centres Appeal on Monday 8th June; this runs until Sunday 5th July across all Pets at Home Stores.
Normally Cheadle Animal Welfare volunteers would be in the Uttoxeter Pets at Home Store helping to raise funds but due to Covid-19 we have been asked not to partake on this occasion. However, we can promote the event and ask our supporters to make a donation when they are next in the Uttoxeter Store.
Since the start of the campaign last week, Support Adoption for Pets have decided, due to the current financial difficulties facing animal charities, in particular fundraising, that all the money raised by the Uttoxeter Store Team will be donated to Cheadle & District Animal Welfare Society which means that 100% of the money raised will be helping the Waifs and Strays whereas historically it has been 50% of the funds raised with the remaining 50% being used by the grant program to fund rescue development projects.
*** So please, please, please – if any of our supporters are in the Pets at Home Uttoxeter Store and are asked to donate to the Summer Fundraising Appeal, remember that whatever you donate will be helping the Waifs and Strays of Cheadle Animal Welfare!
